Where residents parking areas currently exist, free resident parking permits will continue to be available to all pensioners and free visitor parking permits to pensioners, blue/orange badge holders and others in proven need of care.
Disabled Orange/Blue Badge holders will continue to benefit from the existing provisions such as free and unlimited parking in pay and display bays and in residents’ parking bays, and up to three hours parking on yellow lines, but both the disk and the badge must display the time of arrival. Parking in areas where a loading/unloading ban is in force is not allowed and parking must be in accordance with the Blue/Orange Badge scheme.
If you know you are likely to have to park in a restricted area, eg for a funeral, then do contact the Council in advance and let them know.
